Embark on an unforgettable journey through the
heart of Wisconsin's wilderness with a backpacking adventure along the Ice Age
Trail in Nicolet Chequamegon National Park. This trail, carved by glaciers
thousands of years ago, offers a unique glimpse into the geological history of
the region, combined with the natural beauty of dense forests, serene lakes,
and rolling hills. Nicolet Chequamegon National Forest is a haven for outdoor
enthusiasts, boasting over a million acres of pristine wilderness. Our trek
will take us through some of the most scenic sections of the Ice Age Trail,
where you'll encounter diverse landscapes ranging from lush woodlands to open
meadows. Along the way, we'll pass by glacial features such as moraines,
eskers, and kettles, each telling a story of the ancient ice sheets that once
covered this land. Registration Includes: Travel, Lodging (campsites),
Instructors, all Backpacking Equipment, Most Meals (excludes restaurant and gas
station stops, personal snacks) The Physical Activity Rating for this Trip is:
